Rachel Wilson is a law student at DePaul University College of Law where she ranks at the very top of her class, is on Law Review and the Dean’s List. She completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Management and a concentration in Management Information Systems. Currently, she is an active member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Prior to law school, Rachel had the opportunity to work for the Honorable Teresa L. Cataldo of Elkhart Superior Court 3 where she assisted in over 25 jury trials. It was this experience that furthered her interest in the law and her desire to help people who find themselves needing legal assistance. Anytime she goes back home to Indiana, she stops by the old courthouse where she worked to visit with Judge Cataldo, who remains one of her closest mentors.
Rachel is following in her dad’s footsteps by becoming a lawyer. She still remembers the day her dad opened his own private practice in Elkhart, Indiana where he practices personal injury and criminal defense to this day. As a child, Rachel spent many days at his office in one of the conference rooms “working” (which was usually reading a huge stack of library books) and occasionally accompanied him to court. Now, even though Rachel calls Chicago her home, she still makes sure to call her parents every Sunday to chat and she calls her dad anytime she needs advice.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys reading any book she can get her hands on, listening to podcasts, and attempting to garden on her outdoor balcony. Rachel is also an avid traveler and has visited various countries including Italy, Taiwan, Hungary, and Poland. Additionally, she enjoys taking road trips across the United States.
Rachel is a wonderful addition to the personal injury team at Willens Law Offices, and we look forward to her making many meaningful contributions to the firm in the coming years.
