Willens & Baez has been retained in another high profile personal injury case. This case involved a crash between a Glenview Park District truck and a Pace bus.
The accident happened on February 8, 2013 at approximately 6:00 a.m. and received much attention in publications such as the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.
As a result of the crash, at least two people were taken via ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment. Willens’ client suffered lacerations to his elbow requiring sutures. While it appears that the injuries are not too serious, treatment continues.
After the crash, the truck lost control, went off the road and into the yard of a Glenview resident. The bus went in another direction and ended up in some nearby bushes. During the truck crash, another vehicle was also damaged when the plow truck’s loose blade struck it.
The driver of the truck was issued a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign. Willens expects that by the time of the traffic ticket hearing, the Village of Glenview will have hired a lawyer for the driver who will likely plead not guilty to the charges.
